Baby Steps to Lasting Change

When I read this, it really struck me.

In any given day, we have 60,000 thoughts and that 80% of those thoughts are negative. That is 48,060 negative thoughts a day. That is shocking and profound.

If we are telling ourselves we aren’t good enough or don’t belong, we will always find that. So, wouldn’t it make sense that the opposite is true also. If we are looking for evidence that we are brave, strong and courageous, we will find it!

What we focus on, we attract. When we speak or think positive, we attract more positive. Seems simple enough. But we all know that isn’t true. Seeming simple and being simple are 2 different things.

Lets go back to those 48,060 negative thoughts per day. If by living more positively, we can change 1% of those to positive, thats 400 thoughts changed. And if we continue to transform our thoughts, we continue to transform our life.

Sometimes we talk about changing our mindset. That is a big word these days. It can be overwhelming to change. But if we take micro-steps, little baby steps, we begin to walk the path of transformation.
